What do you do at Merritt Group?
I’m a senior graphic designer in the marketing services group.
What’s your greatest moment — whether in work, school or marketing/PR — so far?
My greatest moment at Merritt Group was when our creative team did the branding for AdWeek DC. We conceived everything from the theme down to the collateral. It was a huge success and a great case study. It was nice to be able to attend an event that was utilizing designs we created.
Who do you love to follow on Twitter or Instagram and why?
Wolftrap Animal Rescue! I have a soft spot when it comes to animals. Both of my dogs are rescues, one of which I got through this organization. I am always looking to pawn off a new puppy on one of my friends or relatives…so if you are interested in adopting, check them out :).
What’s your favorite piece of technology?
My Amazon Firestick! By far the best streaming device. I just speak into the remote and it pulls up just what I need. What more can you ask and who doesn’t love a good Netflix binge?
What’s your favorite thing about living in the Washington, D.C., area?
My favorite thing about Washington, D.C. is the proximity to things. We are a short drive from the mountains, NYC, multiple beaches, Charlottesville, and not to mention we do have two amazing airports! It’s a perfect spot to live for those who love a weekend getaway.
What do you love to do when you are not working?
I love being active. I am always looking to venture out to a new park with my two pups! I also consider myself a beer snob and I love checking out the newest breweries or local craft beer spots.
What are your podcast recommendations?
There are many podcasts I would recommend. After all, it’s the only way I get through my daily commute! However, if I had to pick one, my all-time favorite was Serial. It’s taken place in Baltimore and dives into a 1999 murder case of high schooler, Hae Min Lee. It still has me questioning did Adnan really do it?
What’s your favorite Merritt Group memory?
I have a few, but I’d have to pick our last Marketing Services outing we went indoor skydiving at iFly Loudoun. This was a great time to get to know my teammates better and try something new. My next step is to try the real thing!
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
My family. They are my biggest support system and I don’t know what I would do without them. Venturing out of my hometown, Cincinnati, made me really recognize how grateful I am to have them in my life and I really value every minute I have with them.
What’s the most interesting item on your desk?
The most interesting item on my desk would be my fish, King Gunther. He has his own name tag and everything — he is part of the team.
