1. What do you do at Merritt Group?
I am an Account Manager on the Healthcare and Government teams.
2. What’s your greatest moment – whether in work, school or PR – so far?
When I signed my NCAA scholarship for the Virginia Tech Lacrosse team in 2004. By the time I got the offer I was three year All-County, two year All-State, All-Met and All-American. In college I was able to be a part of something so much bigger than the sport and as a four year scholarship athlete I graduated from school debt free; which I am truly thankful for. At the time of my college graduation I still held the Montgomery Country record for the most career goals in three seasons and the most goals ever scored in a game, and I held the VT Lacrosse record for the most consecutive games scoring. The best part? Last year when I got married over half my team was there and four of my bridesmaids were my former teammates. It all started in 2004–GO HOKIES!!!
3. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?
The U.S. Department of Agriculture. Why? Because no one else gives updates on milk sales in Morocco and the discovery of previously extinct rabbits in California. #duh
4. What’s the one gadget you think needs to be invented?
The anti-gadget. Just because something makes your life easier doesn’t make it good or useful. In fact, let’s un-invent some things in 2015. To my knowledge, no one on planet earth has benefited from a vibrating ab belt or bumpit.
5. Android, iPhone or other?
I prefer the one that works.
6. What’s your favorite thing about living in the Washington DC area?
I like the accessibility and the fact that I can walk to pretty much anything that I need. Day trips to the museums are my favorite. I frequent the Hirshhorn and the Portrait Gallery an embarrassing amount.
7. What do you love to do when you are not working?
See above. I also love to travel, spend time with my friends and family, go to yoga, run, read, eat food, breathe, go out for drinks in DC, go out for drinks in VA, go grocery shopping, take a drive in my car, pretend to like spinning, cheat at Jeopardy, play Risk with my husband, go to the movies, lose at bowling, win at shuffleboard, people watch, cook, catch-up on some of my favorite shows (Walking Dead, Bob’s Burgers, American Horror Story, Mad Men), participate in any and all Halloween activities, chew ice, hangout with my cat and sleep. You asked.
