Merry Week of Giving is an integral part of Merritt Group’s mission. Volunteering during the holidays is one way the company achieves its work-life balance. This year we chose to support three organizations (1 in CA, 2 in VA) that need help and we are just the fortunate group of people to answer their call.
First, the East Coast MGers bought, prepped, and bagged 120 complete lunches that were dropped off to Cornerstones, a non profit that promotes self-sufficiency, last Wednesday evening in Reston, VA.
Next, the San Francisco team donned caps and aprons to help make “meals with love” for Project Open Hand, who provide meals and support for seniors and the critically ill.
Our final destination last week was Groveton Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia. An excited crew of Merritt Groupers gave out snacks, read stories, and answered a ton of questions from all of the first and second graders. Merritt Group also donated winter coats, blankets, and other necessities to help the kiddos through the winter months.
A jam-packed five days that helped cement the commitment of Merritt Group to give back to the communities we live in.
