1. What do you do at Merritt Group?
I am an Account Coordinator here at Merritt Group. Most of my clients are in the security practice, although, I have two in the government group that both happen to be security focused as well. I have enjoyed immersing myself in the field, and find it very exciting so far.
2. What’s your greatest moment – whether in work, school or PR – so far?
I think my greatest moment so far has been graduating from my dream school. I was born a Hokie, and managed to work hard enough to make it into Virginia Tech. I take it for granted that I achieved that goal, when many students never get that opportunity. Go Hokies!
3. Who do you love to follow on Twitter and why?
My favorite Twitter account is The Key Play. This is a VT football blog account that I love to follow for all the comedic drama. The guy who runs it is hilarious and always has something funny to say about all of the college football games going on. He also tweets in all caps during football season which makes it even funnier.
4. What’s the one gadget you think needs to be invented?
Uncrackable phone screens… I am the unluckiest person and have cracked 3 phone screens in the last 6 months.
5. Android, iPhone or other?
Turns out I’m awesome at segues. I have an iPhone but might need to rethink those purchases at this point.
6. What’s your favorite thing about living in the Washington DC area?
I’m very fortunate that a majority of my friends from school moved to this area, so I love the fact that I am not alone in my new home. Besides that, I have enjoyed exploring all the bike trails in the area. I plan on doing a 50 mile ride to Mt. Vernon and back in the near future before it’s freezing cold out.
7. What do you love to do when you are not working?
I have been playing Ultimate Frisbee for 8 years now so I try to find every opportunity to play that I can. I joined a new club team this summer in the D.C. area and we made a good run at the championships, hopefully things go better for us next season! Some may say that I am obsessed, but it’s the fastest growing sport in the United States and I can’t wait to see it take off.
