Who do you love to follow on Twitter or Instagram and why?
I love to follow food accounts on Instagram – cooking is a hobby of mine and I’m always looking for new recipes to try. The photos always draw me in! A few of my favorites are: @halfbakedharvest, @nytcooking, @ambitiouskitchen.
What’s your favorite piece of technology?
I love my smartwatch. It tracks all of my workouts and keeps me active!
What’s your favorite thing about living in the Washington, D.C., area?
I am a Northern VA native and this area has always been my home. One of my favorite things about this area is that you can drive less than an hour out to the countryside in Loudoun County. There are lots of great vineyards, restaurants and small towns to check out. It’s a nice escape when you want to get out of the city for a bit!
What do you love to do when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I’m cooking or baking something. I have a large collection of cookbooks and I’m always looking for my next favorite recipe. One of my winter favorites is Julia Child’s boeuf bourguignon recipe.
What’s the best book you’ve read recently?
Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike – excellent book that tells the inside story of how Nike began and grew to be one of the most iconic brands in the world.
What’s your favorite Merritt Group memory?
My favorite memory is the team going out to lunch the first week I started. It was a great way to get to know everyone!
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
My dog, Riley! We rescued her 2 years ago from Wolftrap Animal Rescue.
What’s the most interesting item on your desk?
Hmm…maybe my Day Designer. It’s the best planner I’ve ever purchased and it keeps me organized!
