What do you do at Merritt Group?

I am an Account Executive supporting Merritt Group’s Cybersecurity Practice. I also help manage and curate Merritt Groups social media properties such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram (shameless plug!).

What’s your greatest moment — whether in work, school or marketing/PR — so far?

One of my greatest moments so far was a feature piece in Inc.com on my client’s book  it was a huge win! I recently landed a Cheddar TV broadcast opportunity for my client to discuss their recent survey on global crisis management.

Who do you love to follow on Twitter or Instagram and why?

An account that I absolutely love to follow is @TheOnion. I love dry, sarcastic humor so The Onion never fails to make me LOL. Ask my desk neighbor, Jenna Needham. I always share them with her!

What’s your favorite piece of technology?

I’m obsessed with my Bluetooth FM Transmitter from Amazon! I drive a really old Lexus so this piece of tech has changed my life. I can now listen to Spotify, podcasts and call my mom – things I wasn’t able to do before in the car (safely, at least)!

What’s your favorite thing about living in the Washington, D.C., area?

I actually live in the suburbs of Maryland right now, so I don’t really explore Washington, D.C. that often. But my favorite thing about living in this area is the proximity to some of the best East Coast cities (besides D.C.): Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City.

What’s the best book you’ve read recently?

I recently finished Big Sexy Love by Kirsty Greenwood and All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin. I highly recommend them both! Big Sexy Love is a cute, fun read about a girl granting her dying friend’s wish and All We Ever Wanted is a story about a high school girl’s mistake. Check out Shari Lapena’s books if you’re looking for a thriller!

What are your podcast recommendations?

I’ll say this once and I’ll say it again: The Morning Toast. It’s a morning show hosted by Girl With No Job (Claudia Oshry) and her sister, Jackie O’ Problems (Jackie Oshry). The girls share the fast five stories you need to hear before you take a bite out of your morning toast! Highly recommend if you are a celeb gossip junkie like me. It makes my afternoon commute so much better.

What’s your favorite Merritt Group memory?

I really enjoy walking down to Ban Ban eatery with my coworkers and taking breaks in the kitchen! It’s always a good time.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

I really can’t live without my curling iron. Trust me, you don’t want me to!

What’s the most interesting item on your desk?

You’ll always find a banana on my desk — It’s my favorite mid-morning snack.
