Jayson Schkloven and I had the immense honor of joining Samsung last night at the 2018 Samsung Charity Gala. Held at the Manhattan Center in New York, the 17th annual event raised proceeds for Samsung’s charity partners through its ‘Samsung Gives’ philanthropic programming. Last night, more than $3 million dollars were raised.  Since 2011, efforts have raised more than $75 million throughout the U.S., benefitting more than 2,600 schools, hospitals, and foundations.

Marketers, Are You Ready to Take on Programmatic Advertising?

Anyone on the internet knows exactly where to scroll to find out how to “get rid of belly fat today” or get “one weird trick” to solve an inane problem — the bottom of their browser on almost any popular website. Far away from where the readers’ eyes and cursor typically spend any time, this is where programmatic advertising got its start. But for companies that think this digital ad buying method still is a bottom-of-the-barrel approach to get clicks, it’s time to think again.

Welcome to the Merritt Group Blog

At Merritt Group, we are passionate about what we do – both inside and outside of work. I want to welcome you to our newly re-launched blog to see what we’re up to and how we apply those passions.

We work in partnership with our clients every day to deliver bold campaigns in marketing, communications and creative services. Our clients continue to challenge us and we continue to challenge them to reach new frontiers that drive results and get people talking.

In today’s era of earned, paid, shared and owned media, we are innovating across all areas of the spectrum. And through our recently launched Content Marketing offering, we are meeting new demands from clients in the creation and distribution of content that fuels the sales funnel and ongoing thought leadership.

With the current transformation underway in marketing and communications, Merritt Group is bringing a lot of this together for our clients. Many of you know us for our ability to shape a story that will stick in The Wall Street Journal or in Forbes, or in the trades or reach the right influencers, in general.  Our clients hire us to create their stories and find their differentiation in the marketplace and we do this through strategy, research, competitive positioning and messaging.

We get what our clients do. We have in-house designers who are breaking new ground every day in print, interactive, mobile and Web design. We discovered the power of video a long time ago, and we continue to bring our clients’ stories to life in new and innovative ways. In most all of our conversations with clients, lead-gen is front-and–center.  We are working side–by–side with them to enhance their sales and business development efforts – whether it is through lead-gen campaigns leveraging HTML emails, SEO/SEM, sales collateral, sales decks and more.

So what makes Merritt Group unique? Our values today are just as relevant as they were since the agency’s founding 17 years ago. Our unwavering focus on a fun company culture. A learning environment. Intellectual curiosity. Extraordinary client service. Valuing our employees and our clients. Giving back to the community. And striving for balance – not just between work, home and community but also between our brains and our bodies through a company focus on good health and fitness.

Our offices on both coasts (in Washington DC and San Francisco) and our deep practice expertise (in the areas of technology, healthcare, government and energy) - create a dynamic mix of intellect, culture and spirit that I hope you’ll see come to life through this blog!
