The Aslan Project, a nonprofit focused on achieving substantial survival rates for children with cancer in the developing world, needed help increasing awareness and reaching critical donor audiences.  

Merritt created a strategic communications plan focused on driving press attention for the organization’s largest annual fundraising event and as well as donor communications leading up to and following the event.

By providing onsite fundraising support and engaging in proactive media outreach, Merritt was able to increase widespread awareness for the organization in the D.C. community, including feature press coverage in well-read local publications Washingtonian Magazine, Washington Business Journal, Baltimore Business Journal and The Zebra. Through its support, the Merritt team was also able to help The Aslan Project raise thousands in funds for pediatric cancer treatments in Ethiopia.
