Merritt Group Helps AchieveKids Showcase Talent

Late last week, California Merritt Groupers attended AchieveKids’ 50th Anniversary Spring Showcase. AchieveKids is a Bay Area agency serving children and young adults, ages 5 to 22, with complex emotional and developmental disabilities. As part of the organization's Speech and Language Program, students showcased their talents with poetry, acting, music, and signing.

The Showcase evoked everything from laughter to tears, as audience members, mostly comprised of proud parents, watched their children deliver lines and hit the high notes.  Merritt Group encouraged local media to attend this great event and this photo, taken by the Palo Alto Weekly, portrays students, Michael and Luis, as lion and cub in their skit, “Big Bully, the King of the Jungle.”

Merritt Group recently started providing pro-bono PR support for AchieveKids, which has two non-public schools in Palo Alto and San Jose.  For more information about the organization, visit. http://www.achievekids.org.
